June 9-12

9am-12pm

ages 11-14

Round Rock Course ID #3654A

CAMP WIRED’s MOST POPULAR CLASS!! Why play computer games all summer when you can create your own?! Learn to make your own Role Playing Game using RPG Maker2000 that allows you to create your own land, castles, battles, weapons, and storyline. You, the game designer, will be equipped with the tools to design your own worlds and how characters interact in the environment you create and manage. You will learn to import sprites, backgrounds, and other essential gaming objects to create and manage your very own adventure. Your game will look similar to Pokemon, Zelda I or Final Fantasy. This is an intermediate game design class and students will receive a copy of RPGmaker 2000 as well as a copy of their game created in class.

This is a Junior-sized version of our RPG 2000 class where students will learn the basics of RPG 2000. Students will make a smaller sized version of their own personalized Role Playing Games by building extensive maps, programming basic events, heroes, monsters, characters and battles. Students should be familiar with the keyboard, be able to type (spelling doesn’t count in your world!) on their own, and be good at following directions with multiple steps. You will receive a copy of your game as well as a copy of the program used.
